I am currently applying to colleges and thinking of applying for a level 3 business course. Anyone who has taken this course what is it like? I’ve taken business studies at gcse and predicted a 7/8. I can’t find much online about the course, what job prospects can you get with the course? Do unis accept the btec ? Thanks I’m just a bit stuck haha

I can't comment on the specific course (but hopefully someone else can!), but in terms of universities, most of them do accept BTECs - it just depends on the course you'd like to take and their requirements.

Other than attending college open days to speak to current students, the next best thing would be to find out which units the course would cover and take a look at the spec to see if they seem interesting to you.

Happy to be a sounding board if you want to talk through your options

It's a good course as it provides you with a well rounded introductory level of knowledge in most areas of business, the workload however is intense, feel free to ask me any questions, I finished this course just last Summer.
Oh and since you've already done business at school that should already give you a bit of a head start.

Thank you so much! Did you specialise your topic in the second year?

I'm not sure what you mean with specialise, I did a number of units/modules about a variety of topics in my second year, the second year is very similar to the first year with the exception that in the second year you do some slightly harder units

Ah okay thanks! I’m not sure tbh, on my btec course website it says the topics you do for the first year which is a mix of general, marketing and finance in a business and then in your second year you specialise into a certain part of the course. These would again be general business marketing and Finance so I’m not sure
