Perm my hair

Im a guy who has curly hair but I hate how hard it is to manage.
I’d prefer wavy hair and was wondering if I’d be able to perm my hair to make it wavy instead of curly

I'm a girl with the exact same problem lol. My brother just recently got a perm and he was telling me how they can adjust how curly they make it so I guess so. The best thing is all he has to do is wash his hair and the curls dry really nicely and defined.
