Peripheral Nervous system

Can someone explain to me what the book is saying.

Cause I thought that the part sensory neurone which was entering the sensory nervous system would be the axon not the dendronsIMG_20201110_142026.jpg
I think the dendrons are like little branches coming off the axon.

Hi, please look at the attached pic. I think it's helpful. What I think your book is doing is using the dendrons and axons as interchangeable words. From the image attached, I think that the dendrons are the technical name for the axon before the cell body (in the direction of the action potential). After the cell body it is called an axon.

I hope this helps.
