Do I have to pay council tax on empty student accommodation? (Drop out)

So I am planning to withdraw from my Masters course and with that I am moving out of my student accommodation and back home. I still have to pay all of my rent for my accommodation which is fine but I am wondering if I would have to pay council tax there too?
I know I will have to pay council tax back home when I move, but will I also have to in my accommodation city as technically the student flat is mine until my contract expires next year?
yes you would owe council tax as soon as you stop being a student

however, if you've provided proof of student status already (or haven't received a council tax bill yet) i assume you'd slip under the radar
