For undergraduate degrees at UK Universities you have to apply through UCAS.

There is nothing to stop you also applying to Universities in other countries.

Yes postgraduate studies is a different process in the UK, where you typically apply directly through the university so every postgrad course is a separate application.

But for all first degrees/undergraduate you must apply through UCAS.

Some universities will allow direct applications for some groups of students - however these CANNOT be used IN ADDITION TO a UCAS application. They can only be used if your circumstances mean that you cannot use UCAS to apply anywhere.

Some foundation courses and many postgraduate courses (not all) are outside the UCAS system but the contract universities have with UCAS state that they can't accept a direct application from someone who has a UCAS application in that cycle.
