I'm not sure whether I should tell my mum that one of my flatmates has coronavirus. She's been worried about getting the virus as she may be in the high-risk category for it. We thought my brother had got it a couple of months back and she went mad. It may be different since I'm not at home and I'll be isolating here, but I still feel like she'll get angry. I had gone home to visit just before lockdown and it was my decision to come back so she'll probably be angry that I decided to come back.

I'm taking precautions like wearing a mask when I go to the kitchen to make food and washing my hands a lot more. I've already lied to her about it and acted normal, but I'm wondering whether I should just tell her. I don't know what good it would do but IDK. Also I'm a week behind on my work and I haven't even enjoyed uni as much as I thought I would. Made a big mistake going this year. Now I'm stuck inside for 2 weeks.

It's probably better tell her than u go home and she dies because u were too scared to tell her

It would be gone by the time I go home. Currently on the last day of isolation still haven't told her. Taken two tests and tested negative so I think it should be safe.

Not seeing why she should get mad as its not your fault.
As for any risk before going home, then you will have had 2 tests and completed quarantine. Cant see the issue. I think the tests make a difference. If she doesnt wnat you to gop home after the tests stick it out.

as long as you're doing what the govt says you are not required to tell her

the gov is setting a system up getting students back home safely so use this resource to make sure youre not taking anything back

don't worry too much!

If you’re not going home anytime soon then you don’t need to tell her.
