i dont understand their function ughhhhh i just dont get it

please could someone explain it, or direct me to somewhere
thank youuu

Heres a brilliant link that covers the standard model of particle physics:

If you have any questions just post it on this thread and I'll do my best to answer them for you. 🙂

Leptons are a category of particles that aren't made of quarks and don't interact with other particles via the strong nuclear force. Neutrinos are a type of lepton. Neutrinos have antiparticles (antineutrinos) with negative lepton number.

Neutrinos were predicted before they were detected, due to a tiny discrepancy observed in energies in particle decays. Their name derives from the fact that they have extremely small rest mass energy (for the purposes of A-level, their mass is 0) and that they don't have charge. They very rarely interact with matter, so detecting them is difficult but not impossible.

Neutrinos have different 'flavours', in A-level a general rule of thumb is that the flavour of the neutrino corresponds to whichever other lepton is involved in the interaction.
