Is Leicester full of chavs?

The one (mis)conception I have at the moment is that Leicester university is full of chavs... is this at all true, or am I just being a panicking douchebag?

I think you're just panicking! Someone told me the other day what a lovely place it is (she's not a chav!)

Besides, I think that wherever you go there will be a few of them. Unavoidable. :yep:

But then again, I go to a rather chavvy school and lots of people are applying to Leicester (albeit, to do Law/Maths/Accounting, because we're all Asian :p: )

Scum of the earth really. Think tracksuit bottoms, nike trainers, football strips, fake tan, Playboy and White Lightening. Oh, and don't forget a bit of GBH along the way.
nah, the uni (from my experience) is mostly middle class white people. You do see a proportion of asians about but they tend to hang in groups, which is a shame really as i think asian guys are hot . ermm my point being that yes there are lots but its really not at all chavvy

Because from every experience that I've had with somebody either from Leicester (the city, or the university) or anybody who has previously been to, or plans to go to either the university of the city, was/is a chav.

Is it just me, or are loads just randomly applying to Leicester or something? I mean I'm coming to the open day this Saturday to see if my general nitpicking is justified or not, but even though, it'd be nice to hear it from some people who're there at the moment. :yep:
Chavs are prominent wherever you decide to go so there's not any way of being rid of them, unless you move to the countryside, I hear they melt if they come in contact with fresh air.

I think it's a bit like our.. wiggers.
i see

i think you've just had experiences that arent representative. it is mainly middle class white people really. I don't really remember seeing any 'chavs', and such people usually adapt to the norm anyway. the first time i went uni, i didn't have a clue. i wore tracksuits and nike clothes, really short hair etc. i guess you could say i was a chav! but i'm totally different now. in any case, you have nothing to worry about!

The common universities tend to have chavs yeh. If it was a g5 uni it wouldn't have any. The better than uni, the more Rahs and the less chavs.
Short answer: no.

Uni, no; city, yes. Don't worry, though: Leicester undergrads are for the most part tucked safely away in their own little student area

no, it's not full of chavs.
i'm not a chav, no one i'm friends with is really a chav, and no one on my course really fits the description either.
TBF having looked at your profile OP hiding for three years in the bogs at Buckingham Palace might be the best thing for someone of your disposition.
