Hi.
I am considering applying for the January 2020 PQiP intake. I wondered though what experience other people have that have applied/want to apply or have been successful in getting a place.
I currently work as a housing support officer for ex-offenders, many of which are on probation. I have very close contact with them and see my clients daily. I regularly speak with their probation officers. I havent been doing this job long (3 months) but I know being a probation officer is what I want to do. I really enjoy my job and think the best course of action would be to keep learning and gain another years experience in this role so applying in July next year for the January 2022 intake seems right to me.
Any advice on whether I should gain more experience first in other roles, or maybe stick with my role for more than a year?
I have a psychology degree that I finished in 2018.
