Maths pythag

In a question that ask you to show that the coordinates make a right angle triangle does it matter if you do VW² =UV² + WU² or WV² = WU² + UV². I.e does it matter what way round the letters are and how do you know which way round to do them I thought they only represent coordinates it’s not algebra.

Nah it’s all getting squared anyway so it doesn’t matter on the order e.g. (UV)² = (UV)²
