Hello everyone!

Well, I believe that it is important to "finish" this thread telling how everything ended up being. My interview was on March 9 (I believe the interview cycle for the January deadline lasted 1 week), my "Upload documents" button disappeared on March 16 (The same day some people were rejected), and on March 23, some people and I received our offers for the Energy Systems course. I am just writing this because it may be an indication of many things for different people, and could be useful for future applicants.

During my interview, I was told that around 160 people applied for the January deadline, that they were interviewing 1/3 of them, and in the end, they were going to offer 23 seats.

I have not achieved this easily, and I am confident you all have your own life stories that make you unique. Try it next time! if it is not for the master, maybe it could be for the Ph.D. or something even bigger!

Mica

(I applied to the Full-time course just in case)

Big congrats! And best wishes in your study.

Congrats Mica! I wish you all the best for the future. As you said, each and everyone's life stories are different and for some, Oxford may be the answer and for others, something something else could be the answer.
Your post has been informative and helped in getting clarity on things which otherwise wouldn't have been known to some of us. So a huge thanks to you!
Once again, wishing you the very best.

Regards
Sharon

Hello Everyone,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your contribution to this thread. It has been really helpful. Initially when I started the thread, I was uncertain how the application process to Oxford would be. So speaking to all of you and hearing about your experiences helped ease out the process by a large degree. So I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you all.
I would also like to congratulate those who got offers for the MSc in Energy Systems course at Oxford. You all deserve it!
At the same time, I would like to congratulate those who didn't get an offer too. We have done our best and if we didn't get an offer from Oxford, it just means that our calling is for someplace else which will be equally good! So don't lose hope and keep your spirits up!
I would like to conclude by wishing each and every single one of you the very best in all of your endeavours! Y'all are the real MVPs

Yours Sincerely
Sharon

Yes, I received a confirmation one day after. And I know one person who also received it one day after accepting. Maybe you should send an e-mail to the course administrative again.
Hi, is there any Whatsapp group for future students of the Energy Systems MSc?

As an alumnus of the MSc Energy Systems course I highly recommend you avoid it at all costs and go to Cambridge or Imperial instead. The director is psychopathic with workloads (60-80 hour weeks, with no breaks over Christmas and Easter), much of the systems approach stuff and shiny industrial partner claims in the handbook are untrue, and it does not seem to have improved at all from what the current cohort are saying - aside from moving to an industrial estate on the edge of Oxford for teaching.
