It’s more about understanding the content, and then applying it..
You can do a lot of past papers but overall if you don’t actually understand the questions naturally then you’re being ineffective.
The amount of past papers you do will vary on how much practice you need, so if you exam technique isn’t good then you’ll have to do more..

Past papers are definitely a help but I don’t think they are if you handle them like that. Do one and see where the gaps in your knowledge are and practice applying the exam technique. Spread them out to monitor progress.
