you trusted the person, probably told them everything and they felt like a piece of you, so, when they betray you, its like you have this void inside of you where that person used to be. and you feel empty

The relationship has probably gone deep enough for it to be called a betrayal, then it’s things like the thought of never being with them again when they’ve been a big part of your life, the feelings you’ve invested that have gone to waste, realizing they’ve very probably been lying about the relationship, thinking of who their new partner is etc
