History AND Economics degree..

I think I might apply for this at a few unis alongside straight history, which is what I always intended on doing.

The thing is, only York and Cardiff do it out of the top 20 or so unis. Bristol discontinued it, and most don't do it all. Oxford do, but I decided I wouldn't apply there a while ago, just because if I did get in, I don't think I would have a good time there!

I just wondered, does anyone here actually do it? Is it good/respected? I assume it's mostly history based seeing as maths isn't required (I didn't do maths AS).

Sorry if this should be somewhere else, I didn't have a clue where to post it!
London School of Economics does it too. The courses should be 50% history/economics or thereabouts and even if maths isn't required I imagine it forms a large part of the course.
Yep, LSE is one of the best for it.

wtf are u guys on about. They only do Economic History which is not history and economics

Plus i seriously doubt you will get into economic history with a history and economics personal statement.

That's what they say though in their admissions page - they want people to have a history PS.

Ha. No, after Nottingham gave me an offer for History I asked them to switch it to Law, which they agreed to for some reason.

Hi, now that you are at a university, which one did you choose? I have the same problem as I want to do History and Economics not Economic History... Also i don't do maths or want to go to oxford... I am looking at St Andrews at my first choice at the moment... Thanks
