Hi everyone, I have multiple questions about which one I should apply to. My dilemma is that in the future, I want to be an aerospace engineer, which throws me towards Cambridge as they allow you to specialise in aerospace engineering. However, I would prefer to go to Oxford, but they only do mechanical engineering. Do they allow you to specialise later on?
Also, if I were to go Oxford and receive a mechanical engineering degree, would I still be able to get into an aerospace engineering job?

Why would you prefer to go to Oxford when the better degree programme is at Cambridge (or Southampton ...)

I am currently debating, as what im wondering is whether I can still get aerospace related jobs with a mechanical engineering degree, as Oxford doesn't specialise in neither Aeronautical or Aerospace.

Possibly, but only if there are spaces left after applicants with a relevant degree have been selected

If you want to be an aerospace engineer then neither, go study an aerospace engineering degree instead. Imperial, Bristol, Bath, Southampton, Sheffield, Nottingham, Glasgow, Surrey, and plenty of others offer degrees which will better prepare you for a career in Aerospace and give you better extracurricular opportunities.
