Just a thought.
Which literary creations do you think children of the future will be studying as "classics", at school? Ones which haven't really been considered before. Say written from 1980-present day.
And on that note, SHOULD they be studied? Or just enjoyed for what they are, which many people say was Shakespeare's intent for his plays
(no bitterness about many months spent analysing the delights of Hamlet)

I think that "the kite runner" by Khaled Hosseini should be because
- I'm already studying it for my English lit AS
- It deals with Afganistan etc so is historically realistic (written at the time etc)
What do you think?

Close Range: Wyoming Stories by Annie Proulx.
