Ok so in yr 7, there was a rumour about me posting inappropriate stuff on social media. In year 8/9 ish, people realised it wasn’t me and it wasn’t mentioned again. I lost loads of friends because of this as well. Now, 5 years later,I feel like the rumour got to my new friends I made in sixth form, as they were talking amongst themselves about something related to that. I’m scared they won’t believe me telling them it was fake and idk whether to mention it to then beforehand or just wait for them to ask me, then tell them it wasn’t me.

If they’re real friends they’ll understand. Don’t worry about it
