Is having friends/going to a pub/nightclub the only way for a guy to get laid?

It seems that unless a guy is decently tall, good looking, and has a job, he has a piss poor chance on dating apps (Tinder, Bumble, POF, eHarmony).
A girl in her 20s to 30s who is average looking that is isolated can still get sex/relationships with these apps. Not the same at all for men.
Keep in mind as well that women rarely approach men except when under the influence so is the only option to get laid to get friends and go to the pub?
