    Hi,
    I was wondering y the mass of a particle increases as it approaches the speed of light.

    In CERN, when the accelerate the protons n anti protons, do they hav to increase the magnetic field as the particles are getting massive by the second hence more potential difference is needed to accelerate them?

    Special relativity. It's why a massive particle can never reach the speed of light, it would require an infinite amount of energy.

    So essentially wht u mean is that all the energy that is supplied to the protons are converted to mass and thts y it gets massive?

    doesn't have to be 'converted', as mass is a property that energy has, but essentially yes.
