From personal experience, you need to know how to do bloods and cannulas, a lot of international/euro grads have never done them before and it’s quite cannula heavy in F1

There are significant cultural differences between UK medicine and most other places, say European countries. I'd say the most common I hear about/see are:

1) Substantially, substantially more paperwork and pointless bureaucracy.
2) Very long training with heavy emphasis on service provision over learning.
3) Much greater reliance on clinical examination.
4) Far less paternalistic. Patients expect it to be a two way conversation, not be told what to do.
