There is always more than one way to do something.
Just because an expert tells you there is only one way of doing something doesn't mean there is only one way.
It means that expert only knows of one way.
There is often a lot out there beyond what that one expert may know because there are often other fields that specialize in the same subject which that expert may know nothing about.
