Hi, I am really interested in studying Radiography but I have some questions.
1.Do a lot of people from outside of Europe study Radiography here?
2. since there is a shortage will it be easy to find a job after graduating(because if I return to Egypt I won't find work because we don't have radiographers)?
3.Do you graduate knowing how to do X-ray only? Because if I look at the jobs in the middle east, which will be my backup if I can't find work here, they want a Radiographer who can do Ultrasound, MRI, CRT, etc,
4. How hard is the degree and which universities are the best for Radiography?

I’m going to study diagnostic radiography in 2021 in university. I’m not sure how many international students study it but I think a few do

According to Cardiff university 100%* of graduates were employed or undertaking further study within six months of graduating . But make sure you do your research into all universities you’d like to go to .
In diagnostic radiography that specialises in knowing how to use MRI, CT and ultra sound so yes you’d know knowledge on how to do x-rays .
All degrees are hard , for international students it requires in Cardiff university in wales 31-30 overall or 665-655 in 3 HL subjects. Must include grade 6 in HL biology, chemistry, physics or psychology. The degree is 3 years which is nice and you can go straight into a job after 3 years .
The best university to go to are Teesside , Bangor , Cardiff , Bristol , Exeter , Hertfordshire, Salford , London south bank university, Portsmouth and Gloucestershire.
I hope this helps

At Salford we do offer a small number of International places each year, so yes, we have students from outside Europe on the course

There's two pathways in Radiography - Diagnostic and Therapeutic - so you'd need to have a clear idea of which one you were interested in applying for, and what the employment options would be at the end of your degree.
We offer Diagnostic Radiography and you can find out more details about the course here, there's lots of information on our facilities and how you will use them in your study on that page too.
You may also want to chat to our students on UniBuddy, we have a couple of Radiography students on there so you could ask them about what the course is like, how they are enjoying it etc.
Also have a look at our international pages, and in particular our Egypt pages for further information on entry requirements from your country.
With regards to employment, you would be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK, which would allow you to work in the NHS or private practice - if you were planning on working overseas you will have to check which countries also recognise our qualifications, or which may expect you to take further study or a conversion course, for example.
Let me know if you've any further questions about our programme
