Drug designing

Why can't a drug have too strong an affinity to it's target?

Would you care to be more specific? Your question is more than a little vague.

Ok

We’re comparing 2 drugs that are almost the same but have different affinities to the receptor. So that’s the deciding factor. The higher the affinity, the better the drug because it’s more attracted to the receptor. But I found out that the affinity can’t be too high otherwise the drug wouldn’t be released by the receptor. Why would this be a problem?
