Is anyone else applying for this course? I haven't seen any discussions about this course for this year, so I decided to make my own forum about it! Comment below your stats, what other courses you're applying to and your date of application.
I'm currently applying with an IB 43/45 and I'm applying for PPE at Warwick, Edinburgh and Oxford, along with Politics IR at UCL.

i applied for ispp and econ. my gcses are 99998888775 and i’m predicted A*A*A. Was rejected from warwick and ucl but neither gave me a reason besides high competition so i assume my PS and grades weren’t as good. Also an lse rep said they’re not giving any offers until 12th April once they’re back at work so don’t stress this week cos u won’t hear until then

i wrote about development economics and mentioned a few books and a documentary i’d watched. then wrote about game theory and lectures (which looking back on now was probs such a basic and generic thing to write about which they probs hated). then i talked about social policy in that i entered a competition talking about a mansion tax policy. last bit is extra curricular.
i wish i wrote more about social policy but it’s too late now. i probs did 75% econ 25% social policy unless u consider development economics an overlap i suppose. What about you?

My PS was 75% developmental econs and 25% policy too I wld say - I wrote about my aid dependency in African countries EP, inequalities of globalisation and migration mercantilism. I guess most of it was related to developmental econs and thus I'm worried that I didn't include much traditional econs if that makes sense? which you seem to have not missed out with game theory and all so don't worry! I also added voluntary service and politics societies I joined.
could I also ask if you are an international or home student? I'm international btw. hope we both get our decisions soon!

what you wrote to me seems great! but i get what u mean about traditional economics because i was looking at the course and i realised there’s some compulsory maths modules / stats and i didn’t even talk about that so i’m just replying on the fact i’m predicted an A* in it. also i’m a home
