What are the M1 and M2 modules (for Edexcel) like? I think my teacher wants my class to take them after P3 so I was just wondering what they're like compared to the other modules.

M1 is really easy. M2 is definately harder than P2 and M1, but it's nothing impossible. I didn't do any stats modules, so I can't compare them to those. Sorry!

If you can handle P2 and P3, M1 will be easy, and M2 not to difficult. There are a few odd concepts, but nothing you can't get used to. The actual maths involved is not difficult.

Borrow the texts, and skim a few chapters; you'll quickly get a feel for what it's like.

I notice you're applying for software engineering - Have you done/thought of doing D1 and D2, if you're looking for additional modules?

I taught myself D1 (all algorithms - no problems) last year, and am teaching myself D2 this year.

d1 and d2 would be good modules to take for computer science-software engineering, well help you in uni too. Both are really easy and should rreally be made harder.

Unfortunately we don't get to choose which modules we do at my college. Was just wondering what mechanics was like.
