Vegans/vegetarians, would you date someone who eats meat?

Just wondering as I’m a vegetarian and I only want to date strictly vegetarians/vegans, so I wondered if anyone else feels the same

Choose your dating hunting ground to animal welfare societies or vegan cookery classes. Or more generally when you’re socialising just suss it out during the small talk. Limits your options a tad mind, it might be feasible to only reject voracious meat eaters and widen the scope to those that could be influenced to see things your way.

I'm a veggie (4-5 years now) going vegan and i'd date a meat eater, as long as there isn't any open judgement or anything i'd say it would be fine. I also wouldn't try to convert them or tolerate them trying to convert me back to meat. You just have a to state your boundaries from the start i guess.
im a vegetarian lmao i think its been 5 years ish now? personally i wouldn't mind a meat eater bc its quite rare to find vegetarians and vegans where i live lol :/ as long as they dont keep questioning why i don't eat it after i've TOLD them and tell me to eat it then it's fine . But sksksksk imagine having a vegetarian bf IF ONLY that would be the dream icl i'd literally LOVVVEEE it but doubt it .

Personally I would date someone who eats meat because I think everyone should be able to make there own decisions about things in life and as long as they don’t hurt themselves or any other people then that’s ok for me. However, I could totally understand why a vegan/vegetarian wouldn’t want to date a meat eater and that’s their choice. :smile:

yes I would because they are at a different place on their journey and I was once an avid meat eater who thought they couldn't change their ways but I've managed it through research and cooking skills. I know it's a hard habit to break.

But surely you wouldn’t date someone on the sole basis of their food preferences. What I mean is would a meat-eater out rightly not date a vegan?

Personally, as a vegan, I would date a meat-eater; but that’s just me. I wondered if a meat-eater would date a vegan?

can only speak for myself but if they don't expect me to stop eating meat and don't lecture me about it, sure. I respect people's choices providing they respect mine.

Okay thanks :smile: I personally wouldn’t because I think everyone should be able to make their own decisions about things like this without anyone else’s opinion. Sorry I didn’t ask the question clearly enough 😂 thanks
