Why does increasing the temperature make the membrane more fluid?

Why does increasing the temperature make the membrane more fluid?

Is it due to an increase in kinetic energy? What is the actual reason?

As the temperature increases the fluidity of the membrane increases. This is because as the temperature increases the distance between the phospholipid molecules increases. This means the phospholipid molecules can move more. Furthermore, at higher temperatures the fatty acid tails are less rigid, so the membrane is more fluid.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the effort put into this. Could you also help me with this question. Just to identify which organelles the arrows are pointing to as it is really hard to discern.
