What are the chances of having Sky TV available at uni? Will it depend entirely on whether halls has a communal TV with that option? Obviously I won't be able to have my own subscription in my room...but there's so much stuff I'd miss out on like NFL and cheap American movies.

dude.. you REALLY dont have time to watch tv. If you do, you need to get out more, imo.

our halls have sky tv in communal area, but I havent watched it ONCE since I got to uni. Times when good tv is on is times when either you are out doing things or socialising. Or working.. I guess.

I'm only talking about one Sunday night a week, and late nights. And who's to say I prefer going to pubs and clubs over watching sports or documentaries?

You could get someone at home to happen to come across a few shows you want on a burnt dvd and get them to send it to you.

In my first term I watched about an hour of TV and that was a formula 1 race. Other than that there really isnt time to watch it. And I used to watch it a lot at home

although i took my tv to uni (i'm a first year), i've not really watched it at all. i use it more as a 'monitor' for my playstation 2 which i play occasionally but other than that, my tv license application was rejected so i didn't bother applying again and haven't watched much at all.

i think i dont have as much free time as you then..

i dont have much and i feel like i waste it watching tv. but maybe thats cos none of my mates have tvs so they dont watch and we are forced to amuse ourselves without..

plus, not saying other ppl are loners, but i hate just sitting on my own. i gt bored and start talking to myself :P lol. personal prefrence i guess.
