I had admiral car comprehensive .After 6 month company cancelled my insurance saying that incorrect information has been provided. That may due to policy has been setup by broker or third party. They refund all my money back.I have clean driving license/no convictions. Moreover they said admiral won’t cover you up in future. Can i do insurance from other companies?

Yes but you have to declare that the previous policy was cancelled or they may cancel your insurance also.

I suspect that you've not given the whole story. Who did you buy the insurance from?

Did they not ask if you'd ever had insurance cancelled? Hopefully you used someone more reputable this time.

So that means, whilst you have ‘insurance’ it is invalid, if you get into an accident it will not cover you as the first thing they will do is look for reasons not to pay out.

Exactly.
Most companies actually ask if you have ever had insurance cancelled as well.
