Everything scratches if you try hard enough.
As for how easily they scratch, it depends on the model. Some Apple watches use Sapphire Glass, the standard glass used in pricey watches and is extremely resistant to scratching, while some use what Apple call Ion-X glass, which seems to be slightly more scratch resistant than the Gorilla Glass found on most smartphones, so tough but still able to be scratched in everyday life.

No, just a screen protector. It's chunky enough as it is without an extra case on top.
