Question to gymnasticsWatch
Yeah I used to do non competitive gymnastics on Saturday afternoons. It teaches you the value of teamwork sort of and about not giving up easily as well. Also you learn about listening to your body and making healthy decisions. When I was learning the moves I found that it was important to not overstrain yourself. There are lots of formal competitive gymnastic competitions too. For example both the Olympic and Paralympic feature it as a sport. Like other sports it teaches you discipline etc. To sum up anything that requires you to move your body apart from merely moving around the apartment or house is a sport. Even walking is technically a non violent sport because you can have timed walking races.
