I'm a currently 4th year and I've enjoyed my time here, I'm a stem student so spent most of my time at the King's Building's campus and it's a really nice place to study.
I think it really depends on what course you've selected and how it's taught, the overall uni experience for me (pre-corona) was great, the student union buildings are good, the Saturday club night is great and Edinburgh definitely has that student city vibe.
Rent is quite expensive compared to other cities (especially in Scotland, Aberdeen/Dundee are much cheaper) so that might be worth bearing in mind if you think it'll negatively impact you.
