I really want to drive but there are no instructors. Am I allowed to learn in my family's mobility car as there is no other way to learn until at least April next year and that's discounting another bloody lockdown for the flu

If it is a Motability car then the insurance is provided by RSA Motability.

Whoever the car is leased to needs to add you as a named driver and you should live at the same address or within 5 miles of.

If you aren't added as a named driver and have an accident then your relative will not only be responsible for paying for the damage, the car can get taken off them and they can be removed from the scheme altogether.

It doesn't cost anything to be added as a named driver although if you're under 21 there's certain cars you can drive depending on the BHP.
