This might sound like such a stupid question but I feel like I am repeating myself in my work. Why are detailed and in-depth responses beneficial to research?????????

I think its to make sure that based on the information in your methods the experiment can be replicated - a really important factor in any research. (or maybe I’m reading the question incorrectly?)

My research is a qualitative one lol I meant to put down that the responses were from interviews------ would replication still be applicable to qualitative research????
