Hi, I identify as a homosexual heteroromantic. It means that while I might be sexual attracted to guys, I am romantically attracted to girls and would only date and get into a relationship with a girl. Anyone else like this?

Is that even a thing?

Oh right, never knew there was something like that not gonna lie. You learn something every day huh.
Isn’t that just called bisexual...?

bisexual is sexual attraction to both sexes independent of romantic attraction.

some bisexuals only have romantic attraction to one sex or the other so the labels homoromantic/heteroromantic can be useful, so that's where the distinction is normally used. But this combination is unusual. Repression springs to mind but I don't think it'd be fair to assume right off the bat.

wow ... ok. Is there another name for someone like me, interested in both girls and boys romantically and sexually but also allergic to boys

wtf is up with all these new age sexual identities..

where will it end...

Its not new. Many people are actually like OP, most just identify with bisexual or biromantic ( the closest 'commonly known' label. How OP identifies is just more specific ).

Feel like I'm literally like this (I'm a female). In fact currently I noticed I'm *only* sexually attracted to women (i.e cannot even stand straight porn right now) aside from my current love (and the person who I can logically and conceivably see myself marrying) is a male. But rather than labelling myself anything complex, I identify with bisexual because I think it's simply because I haven't experienced a strong romantic relationship with a woman instead of there being a deeper thing with my sexuality or whatever. I honestly am not sure if I will either because of the person I am with and how right it feels with him for the long term. Also he knows about all this and understands when I am sexually attracted to other women (but I don't do anything about it).
I was just joking but nvm

Yes! I’m like this. But it’s a lot easier for me to just say bisexual or gay when people ask instead of explaining.

I find it interesting that having a quick google of it, the main result is urban dictionary to give a definition  Interesting times.

Yes, I've met a few people who identify similarly.

You’re not comfortable with your sexuality, so you use men for sex and only have relationships with women? OK.

Not exactly if you apply the Split Attraction Model (SAM) for identification https://lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/Split_Attraction_Model_(SAM)
The model basically asserts that romantic and sexual attraction are two separate things

I assume you know what homosexual is. I also assume you know what heterosexual is- take out the sexual and put in romantic. While its not commonly used, it should be fairly simple to put two and two together.

Am i just showing my age here or is this relatively novel desire by everyone to put themselves in ever smaller and more specific boxes getting ever more complicated for those of us without a series of advanced degrees in 'gender studies' and so on so forth? :holmes:

I'm not really sure. There is this tendency to want to fit into a perfect little check box while trying to be a unique snowflake, it seems counterintuitive to me but maybe there is some 4D Chess move my old addled brain cannot fathom.

I tend to sort thing into 3 boxes;
1. Things I understand
2. Things I don't understand
3. Things I couldn't give less of a **** about

You can guess which this one fits into.
