He leaves me alone while waiting for the lift

Maybe this is a strange question, but my “bf” (M30) every time I (F30) leave his place instead of waiting with me to the lift to arrive so I can take it, he just shuts the door and leaves me waiting alone for it. I have discussed about it and he just says he’s closing the door fast to start working (he tele works) but sometimes he has Lot of time left for it. Is it normal? I feel like a dog waiting for it knowing he is inside the house knowing that I’m alone out in the lift.

uh it’s not like it’s not normal but it’s definitely rude to do that. i get the bus to and from my boyfriends flat and he always walks me back to the bus stop and waits with me till i get on the bus

Only thing I can suggest is asking him, there is no way of us being able to tell you how he feels.

sometimes boys just can be idiots, unfortunately it isn’t something he’ll always do of his own accord so you’ll have to ask but i know it sucks having to ask for something when it has more meaning when they do something without u asking for it

Whilst it's impolite, it doesn't sound like something that should be a big deal.

you're 30 years old and instead of talking to your boyfriend about a small issue, you ask random students on the internet? jesus

You’re 30 and you’re asking 14 year olds for advice on an extremely minor non-issue? OK.

Either you talk point blank to him about it or see how it goes and see if he shows himself to really care about you or if he shows other ways of not really being serious...
