Hi, I'm looking at applying to Liverpool to study Environmental Science BSc and wanted to know what other people thought of their time there.
Also, does anyone have any experience with the School of Environmental Science? Thanks Image

What do you want to know about Liverpool? I don't know much about Environmental Sciences, but I can answer your questions about the university and city.

Hi there Emperor Tamarin,

So I actually studied Environmental Sciences as an undergrad so hopefully you have got the right person to answer...!

I had a great experience of the course, I'm not certain how much the course had changed since I studied (so bare that in mind) but overall I thought the huge level of flexibility within the course was a biggest advantage of the course. It means that within your 2nd year you can quickly specialise in the areas that you enjoy (or are more successful). The choices range from geology to marine biology all the way to some Environmental Planning modules. In your first year you get the opportunity to sample all of these subject areas so you quickly get a feel for the areas which you are likely to want to pursue further.

You get lots of field trip opportunities (I went to Snowdonia, Pembrokeshire, Peak District and Algarve) and loads of practical lab experience. So all in all I believe that it set me up really well for further study, and I know that my course mate have done well in terms of employment afterwards too.

There is of course loads of aspects to any course, so if you want to know anything more specific then make sure you ask away below.
