need help with Economics personal statement!
I’m interested in developmental econ in particular, and I’ve taken an MOOC but I feel I don’t have enough ideas to structure my personal statement well

how do I reference books I’ve read and include theories without sounding like I’m just reiterating what I’ve read ?

Take the theories and apply it to some of your real-life observations, or perhaps choose some theories that you personally disagree with and explain why?
Talk about why the things you've read etc. about interest you
