You could have your own hens and make sure they are looked after and give the eggs to your neighbours.
I'm not much of an egg fan, except for baking and desserts.
I dislike hens and cows.
Find bulls, buffalo, other male bovines, ducks, geese, roosters and turkeys much more pleasant creatures.
