For anyone else (like myself) that would like to find the links between the old 2008 and the new 2015 specifications (to know what past papers to do), I looked up both specifications and created this breakdown to show which parts of the old specification match up to the new:
(2008) Unit 1: Physics on the go:
- (2015) Topic 2: Mechanics
- (2015) Topic 4: Materials
(2008) Unit 2: Physics at Work (2008):
- (2015) Topic 3: Electric Circuits
- (2015) Topic 5: Waves and the Particle Nature of Light
(2008) Unit 3: Exploring Physics:
- (2015) All Topics, including Topic 1: Working as a Physicist
- Practical Skills
(2008) Unit 4: Physics on the Move:
- (2015) Topic 6: Further Mechanics
- (2015) Topic 7: Electric and Magnetic Fields
- (2015) Topic 8: Nuclear and Particle Physics
- (2015) Topic 12: Gravitational Fields
(2008) Unit 5: Physics from Creation:
- (2015) Topic 9: Thermodynamics
- (2015) Topic 10: Space
- (2015) Topic 11: Nuclear Radiation
- (2015) Topic 13: Oscillations
(2008) Unit 6: Experimental Physics:
- (2015) All Topics, including Topic 1: Working as a Physicist
- Practical Skills
