Hey @BMT2015,

Whilst I might be a bit biased, I personally would say Reading University. I study pharmacy at Reading University and I feel like I've had a lot of support with the degree and careers advice from the department and the general careers service. It's helped me with applying to placements and understanding what sort of thing I would like to do in the future. You can speak to a student from the course you are interested in here: https://www.reading.ac.uk/about/chat-to-our-students.aspx

The social life at Reading University is really good! We have one of the largest unions and if you fancy going into town, we have a bus going from the campus to the town centre. There are also a large variety of societies that you can attend to suit your taste! Here, you can see what we have to offer https://www.rusu.co.uk/student-activities/societies/

Hope this helps you out and if you do have any questions feel free to let us know!
From,

Amina 😊

Hi there,

Congratulations on receiving offers from both Surrey and Reading, I wish you all the best at whatever university you choose. If you have any questions about Surrey or uni life in general I can help you out.

I study Psychology here at the University of Surrey and I really enjoy it. It is a-lot of independent studying however if you plan your time right you will be able to effectively do your work and your studying etc. All the people at the university that I have gone to for support have been really helpful and useful. There is a employability skills and careers centre that can help with mock interviews, check over CVs as well as a wellbeing of health centre that can help you if you need someone to talk to.

As for the social life at Surrey, Guildford night life isn't really the best. However the university does hold so many social events that you can attend, such as Rubix, different food places such as Wates House and Starbucks. These are places where you can go to socialise and there is also the Nest which is a new area that is a work free zone.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!

Becca
