Architecture's a lucrative career although, yes, it's a long path and you'll need determination (and obvious skills and flair). But, in the long term, I'd say it "pays for itself".

Engineering? Town planning (ties in with architecture)? Maths? Physics? Geography? History of Art?.....

The range of degrees is just far too great. Do you have any interests you're thinking of pursuing?
Structural engineering or architecture is actually quite good (so long as you're good at it)

Honestly, study whatever you want to study!
I bet "I am applying for this subject because some strangers on a website told me to" would make a really great personal statement....
Find a subject that you enjoy, that you could cope with studying for four years, that would help you in any career you've chosen.
