The Student Room Group

Earn money online any ideas (saving money for uni?)

Basically I've received offers and I've realised how much money ill have to earn to cover some of my essentials at uni like buying a new laptop etc.

In the summer I plan to work full-time after my exams are done to at least earn 5ish k in the 3 months ( even taking extra hours)
Any worked in the summer before uni how much did u earn?

In the mean time does anyone have any online websites where I could earn money for doing services (not anything weird maybe like surveys?) that I could do in my free time

I was thinking from January till June I could earn at least 250 pounds ( go to buy stuff in my room etc) ill be catered

I'm not trying to work rn or during exam season because of A levels

Also was thinking about getting my hands on that 1k that all 18 year olds got from the government because of the year we were born

No..

haha just joking, but currently I am in year 11 and making money by selling old/unused clothes and beauty/makeup products on various different buying and selling apps, on top of that I often buy lower priced makeup items and sell them on there for a higher price. My sister while she was in uni had applied for a care assistant job and worked only on saturdays and sundays as there was a shortage in that career, I don't know about that now due to covid but I am sure it wont hurt to look. On top of this there are many online survey websites which you can earn from.

sending you good luck, and I hope you find a solution soon x

No its okay! it was silly of me to suggest that! look into it as there's various sites
Sell old items on Facebook ( try to avoid ebay as you will lose selling fees and a percentage ).

Well the only way I often use to make money online is https://mr.bet/.
I know a lot of people say it's a questionable way, but I've only had a positive experience.
By the way, it helps a lot when money is needed quickly.
Of course, there are many other ways to make money online, but it requires some skills, and even better experience and a lot of time. This is problematic for a student, at least for me.

gambling on sites where the house has the odds in it's favour is not a smart move...

Online survey sites aren't a terrible way to make money if you do it the right way, websites like Swagbucks, PrizeRebel and Prolific AC, pay fairly well, just surveys are quite boring, but it's a way to make money.

Prolific Link (not a referral): https://www.prolific.co
There are many ways to earn extra money for your study. You can write articles at freelance sites like freelancer, Fiverr and Upwork and can earn money from there.

Your parent(s) should have more information on this.

Don't use this. Matched betting is a good option though.

That's decent icl I was expecting to make half of that in the time you've just said. ( I’m planning to do use this until the 1st of October 2021 so ti think by then it could probs get up to 1k)

Thank you!
When I was a student, I had a lot of part-time jobs on the Internet. I always found several jobs for myself because I studied IT.
