Requirement grades_ btec courses

if a student want to apply for a course such as nursing and she or he got DDM from her or his btec course but got one near pass on a unit that is very related to the degree she or he want to do. Is the student still likely to get accepted if their interviews etc went well regardless having near pass on the related unit. E.G. the student who want to apply nursing end up getting a near pass in anatomy and physiology unit ( studying health and social care level 3). Does the university look at the grades for each unit in a btec course?
