I'm hoping to get offers from both UCL & Warwick. My first choice is definitely LSE but as it is super competitive, and I made a fatal flaw in my PS, I'm not going to get my hopes up on getting an offer from them.

My question is: Which university is better for Economics? Warwick seems to rank higher on league tables but I suppose that league tables aren't always truly accurate given that universities like Strathclyde/UEA top LSE lol. I like UCL as it's really well-known internationally and is in London. Which would you choose, and why?

heyy! just going to give my input, but obviously I'm not 100% right. I think they're both equally good but then it depends on other things when deciding which uni is better suited for you. Living in London would probably give you more networking/internship opportunities since you're in the centre of the action. But also, many companies also go to Warwick as it's a 'target' uni aswell. So I'd say in the end, it depends on whichever is better suited to you, consider things like city or campus life, and other factors.
plus Warwick seems pretty isolated too, whereas UCL is in the city so obvs a better social life!

All the UK local league tables are a joke.

For economics, they are on par. It is like splitting hairs.

Just pick the one you will feel happiest going to. The quality and challenge of the education will be the same.
