So I'm a private applicant for ucas and I asked my old geography teacher to write my reference as I thought i wanted to do something geography related but I think I'd enjoy neuroscience more. Can I apply for a neuroscience course with a geography related reference? A lot of the things she's said about geography do also relate to biology so could I just use her reference or should I get a new one off my old biology teacher.

I don’t think you can add a second reference so you’re stuck with it I’m afraid but the reference shouldn’t have been subject based anyway, it’s meant to be a testament to character

As above, it shouldn't really be a course specific reference, but overall they will just look for a positive reference so you it should not hamper an application to any prog that you wish.
