Girls - do you have any embarrassing period stories to make me feel less awkward?

I had the most awkward thing happen to me today.

I feel embarrassed even writing this here lol

I moved into my new flat about 3 weeks ago. Didn't know the people before moving in, 2 guys and 1 girl. I popped out to grab some milk this morning and came back to find carnage. My flat mates dog had gone into my bin and pulled out a load of used sanitary products. Partially eaten and shredded you know what's were in the hallway outside.

My housemates had seen it and the dogs owner apologised quite sheepishly saying "I think my dog may have gotten into your room..."

God it was so embarrassing. I had to clean up in front of them and now I don't want to leave my room.

Anyone else have embarrassing stories so I know I am not alone?

PE is a classic one, every girl must have been there before.

My friend didn’t pass out but she couldn’t stand and see. She was sent home 10 mins into first lesson

Yes, when I was about 13 I had my period. One of the heavy days. Back then I'd be too embarrassed to change at school since everyone would hear in the toilets. So I'd wear a night pad to school to last all day.

One time, after school I stopped by my friend's house to watch a film too.

When I stood up there was a red mark on their fabric sofa! I was mortified. She was out the room and I just put a pillow on top. No-one ever said anything to me about it. I guess her family either managed to clean it off or turned that seat over.

The next day it was gone anyway (I'd go there in the morning and we'd walk to school together).

That is awful. I hope it was just a one off.

Oh no! That is very awkward, I can imagine her family trying to figure out what had happened!

She’s been ok since. She’s usually very light so I came as a shock

I very much doubt you lost enough blood to pass out from blood loss.

My only embarrassing story is that when I was in year 7, my pad leaked and I had a large red mark on the back of my trousers. I was able to put my jumper around my waist to hide it but I think my entire class saw it when I was walking to the toilet with it as I hadn't realised it had happened. Luckily, no one made fun of me for it but people definitely saw
