Nursing to MA Social Work at Chester/Bangor

Hi!

So I'm considering studying a masters in social work upon completion of my children's nursing degree. I'm in my third year now so this wouldn't be until next September.

I'm just wondering if anyone has changed from nursing to social work? If so, are you glad that you did?

Anyone in general studying social work, what're the placements like? As well as overall course?

Or any qualified social workers, what is life on the job really like?

Anyone at Chester University or Bangor University studying social work currently? If so, what's it like? Are you enjoying it? What's the timetable like?

Anyone know financial information surrounding studying in England if you live in Wales?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice anyone can offer ☺️

Hi @Nissy16,

It's great to hear that you're thinking of studying Social Work next year. You can find all the information about the Social Work Masters at Bangor University on our website. It might also be worth contacting the department directly to get information on the timetable etc, the email is [email protected] .
We also have a Virtual Open Day at the end of the month, this will be a great opportunity to talk to staff and watch videos and get some more information about Bangor University. You can register online for the event here.

I hope this helps a little, let me know if you have any other questions
Anna
