Unfortunately you now have to do both statistics and mechanics for A-level Maths (I’m not a fan of mechanics either) but I believe you get choices in further maths (sorry I don’t do it so I can’t help).

The maths topics are:

Proof
Algebra and functions
Coordinate geometry
Sequences and series
Trigonometry
Exponentials and logarithms
Differentiation
Integration
Numerical methods
Vectors
Statistical sampling
Data presentation and Interpretation
Probability
Statistical distributions
Statistical hypothesis testing
Quantities and units in mechanics
Kinematics
Forces and Newton’s laws
Moments

Hopefully someone can give you some guidance about further maths.
