Help on evaluating effectiveness of immunotherapy treatment for allergies!!

Hello, I am doing a research project on the effectiveness of subcutaneous immunotherapy treatment for allergies. I need some help on finding a disadvantage of the biological mechanism of immunotherapy.Can you think of any advantages and disadvantages of the actual mechanism behind the treatment.

Thank you so much for replying. I have been really struggling. This helps a a lot. Can you think of any other disadvantages? Also what about an advantage of the treatment mechanism. All I have for an advantage is that it reduces allergic symptoms as it alters the natural course of an allergic response. Can you think of any other advantages it has compared to other treatments on the immune system. Thank you soooo much

could you explain further about the complexity and uncertainty. What do you mean by uncertainty? Are you saying whether the treatment actually targets the right cells? Also could you expand on how it causes an overactive immune system? Thank you so much.

According to systematic reviews, the efficacy of subcutaneous injection immunotherapy is high in allergic rhinitis, in patients with seasonal pollinosis and also in patients with perennial allergy and sensitivity to house dust mites. I hope this helps
